We’re delighted to announce that Phantom Of The Orchard has won 2 outstanding awards at The International Cider Awards.
The low alcohol sensation claimed the Gold Medal in the No and Low Alcohol Class which was presented last week to Rory by Chair of the Judges, Gabe Cook, aka ‘The Ciderologist’ at the ceremony at The Guildhall in the City of London.
There followed a grand lunch in the magnificent hall after which Trophy winners were announced for gold medallists to claim their Category award. Phantom’s class win went through to The International Innovative Cider Competition and in true awards style the winner was announced.. “And the winner is… Phantom of the Orchard.. “ ..to rapturous applause!
This is a major milestone in The Cotswold Cider Co's history and Rory was naturally delighted, "To win an international gold medal is the stuff of dreams but to have been recognised with the Trophy is out of this world". He continued, "From the moment it was conceived, I've been excited about the potential of Phantom and this rewards our foresight as to what's possible and what the no/low market is craving. We're looking forward to seeing how far we can take it!"
The International Cider Awards happen every 2 years and are widely recognised as the 'Oscars of the Industry'. Only one gold medal is awarded for each class in contrast to other awards and so this is what makes the accolades so special.
